My family moved to Ottawa in Aug 2021. I found ****** ******, owner of Vue Windows online in Aug 2020 and asked for a quote - it took 3 weeks for him to get us a quote. As he seemed like a nice guy, I decided to stay the course with him, which turned out to be a mistake. After a couple of months of back and forth messages regarding style, colour and materials, we put in an order. ****** knew our timeline and understood that we were moving in Aug 2021. When we moved, the new windows had not been installed and I told him he had until my family arrived some days later to install the windows. ****** installed the windows but installed them with plexiglass instead of the glass that was ordered over 10 months before - his excuse being that the pandemic had created delays in glass delivery. I do not know when he actually ordered the glass but I put a deposit on the windows in Sep 2020. It took many texts and calls to get ****** to install the glass before the cold weather arrived. Finally the window glass was installed at the end of Oct 2021, 13 months after I put down an initial deposit. ****** said he had some other jobs to complete but that he still had a few little things to do to finish the installation. ****** knew that we also wanted a door installed and said that he would give us an incredible deal on a door and installation. I reluctantly said yes and gave him a deposit of $200 (with the balance owed on the Windows in Apr 2022). I don't believe ****** ever ordered the door for which we paid a deposit. He asked a few questions but never followed up on a final decision. Over the winter months of 2022 and 2023, I have made complaints to ****** that the windows were extremely drafty and some of them had parts that were coming off. ****** keeps saying he will call or text to discuss but never follows through. I have asked several times for our deposit back and he has not yet returned it - nor has he made a single attempt at repairing the windows, or their draftiness.

He took a 50% deposit and promised a 2-3 month turn around . Every month he would lie and say just a few more weeks. Over 1 year later and still no windows. I cancelled the contract and began the process with small claims court as hes refusing to return my deposit. Hes also not licensed to work in ******. Dont trust him.

 I give this company no stars at all.************************* operates this company from his home in the ******************. I first met him in spring 2021 when I gave him a deposit on renovations totalling $8,600. He sweet talked me into this with his then kind manor.He lied, cheated, avoided me and did not do any work.I took him to court in December 2022 and he did not show up. I talked to him that morning and he promised to pay me back in installment starting in February 2023. I have tried to contact him again with no response. I am very disappointed and disgusted at his attitude and unprofessionaliism.

 ************************* was a ********* Agent He took our deposits in August and October 2021 ****** only turned over 2300$ of the 5000$ in February after I complained to ********* He stole the 2700$ for second order and refuses to turn it over to craftbilt Ottawa Police and the ******** of ******** affairs now have complaints filed

 At this point I believe that it is our duty to inform others of our experience with this charlatan, in hopes that others will avoid being conned and losing $thousands. We have taken ****** ****** ****** & “Vue Windows” to Small Claims Court, we have been awarded a default judgement against him, and we will continue to aggressively pursue this matter to the fullest extent of the Law. 

****** ****** ****** seems very personable and darn it, you just want to believe him when you speak with him. He can be extremely sweet & kind when he thinks that it is in his best interest to act that way, but beware, there is a vicious side to him when you start getting cranky about the ways he keeps on not showing up for the actual installation appointments. Don’t be fooled by his “nice-guy” persona when he is selling you, it is all part of his MO. After multiple skipped installation dates we had politely asked, which later grew to demands, to be shown proof that he even ordered the glass from his suppliers. He gave all sorts of excuses, none of which made logical sense, he contradicted himself, and it became evident that he was lying. There is ZERO proof that he ordered any glass from suppliers, and even when he could have provided evidence to the Small Claims Court disputing our allegations

 ** **** ***** * *********** ******** *** *** **** **** **** ** ******* **** *** ****** ****** ********* ****** ******* he produced absolutely zero evidence to save himself. ********* *** *** **** ******* ** **** ************* **** **** ** ********** ******** ** *****. 

He lists two addresses that he claims to be the locations of his “business”; the **** ******** *** **** * from his website, and *** ********* **** ***** ******* *** ***  as printed on his invoices. These addresses are confirmed to be ********** after attempting to serve ****** ****** & Vue Windows only to discover that he has not operated from either location in several years. I have requested that he provide proper legal addresses and he has evaded every attempt. He did not file a legal defence which would have required him to provide a legal address for service. Finally, he was served when he showed up for a fake quote request that we set up as a decoy, which was the only way to meet him as he is skilled at evading people. 

There is much that can be said about how ****** ****** has lied to us, evaded us, and the numerous chances we gave him to redeem himself, but there is simply no point. If you are contemplating hiring him for a Windows project, I would recommend avoiding him at all costs from our horrendous experience.
